Weekly Numbers
A template agent that agrees your metrics with you, builds the page once, and delivers it every Monday.
One page of the numbers that matter, every Monday. The Weekly Numbers template agent agrees the metrics with you first, shows you one page built from your real data, and then takes on the Monday delivery as a job.
Steps
- Start it. Open Agents, choose Templates, and select Use it on Weekly Numbers. Connect the sources the numbers come from: a CRM, a Database, Drive spreadsheets.
- Answer the interview. Which five to ten numbers, how each is defined (what counts, what is excluded, which date), where the data lives, who reads the page, and when. It writes each definition into its instructions so the page means the same thing every week.
- See one page. Ask: "Build this week's page." Each number shows its value, the change from last week, and the query behind it in plain words. Challenge one and it shows the rows.
- Choose the shape. Keep it as a message, save it as a document in the Library, or ask for an App so the page is live with filters. An App reads from the Workspace database and from Databases you created.
- Accept the job. After a page you trust, it proposes the Monday job, delivered to your Slack DM, a team channel, or a Space. It starts off; turn it on from its About tab.
What waits for your approval
Delivering the page to anyone but you, sharing the App or the document, and changing a shared Database stop at an approval card. Querying, calculating, and building happen on their own.
Limits
- A number comes from a saved query over data you connected. It will not estimate a figure the data cannot support; it says "no data" instead.
- Synced records are read-only. The page reads them; it cannot correct a source record.
- Spreadsheets in Drive are read as synced files; a sheet that changes shape week to week will need the definition updated.
- Analytics platforms and data warehouses are not connected sources yet. Export to a Database or Drive for now.
Make it yours or share it
Notes on its About tab: "charts over tables", "show the SQL". Share it from Settings → Access so each manager gets their own Monday page from the sources they can see. Put it in a Space and the page lands with the team's work. Duplicate for a second audience with different numbers.
