Agents
Find an agent in the roster, turn it on, write it notes, chat with it, or duplicate it.
An agent is a teammate with a name, a face, instructions, and a job. Meridian ships with several: the Meeting Assistant prepares you for every meeting and writes the recap, the Inbox Assistant sorts your email and drafts replies in your voice, the Daily Briefing tells you each morning what needs you, the Data Analyst answers questions with your data, and the Automation Coach proposes one time-saving automation a week. Meridian itself is the default agent that answers when you do not pick one.

Steps
- Open the roster. In the sidebar, under More, choose Agents. Each card shows the agent, what it does, and one state word for you: On for you, Off, Paused, or Chat for an agent with no jobs. Details opens the agent; Chat starts a conversation with it.
- Turn one on. On the agent's About tab, the switch beside Routines turns its jobs on for you. Each job underneath has its own switch, so you can keep prep briefs on and recaps off. Some agents start on as soon as you connect the accounts they need; an admin decides that per agent in Settings → For members.
- Write it notes. Under Personalization on About, tell the agent how you like things: "only draft for customers, never internal threads", "recaps in Turkish". Notes shape every run and chat with that agent, for you only.
- Chat and hand off. Ask it anything from its page or mention it in any chat. Meridian hands work to a specialist when one fits, and the agent's turns carry its own name and face.
- See what it did. The Logs tab lists its chats and runs, newest first. A job's fire is one row that opens its run.
What waits for your approval
Turning an agent on or off for yourself runs directly from chat, as do ordinary edits. Deletion, sharing and account or permission changes ask for approval. An agent that acts as itself, with its own accounts, needs an accountable person named in Settings; its approvals park on that person.
Limits
- An agent reads what you can read. It cannot see a colleague's private mailbox because it is shared with them.
- A job runs only for people who have the accounts it needs. Without a calendar, the Meeting Assistant has nothing to prepare.
- Paused means the agent gained a capability since you turned it on. Turn it on again to accept the wider set.
- An admin can set a shipped agent to not offered. It stays visible to admins only until offered again.
