Market Watch

A template agent that watches named competitors and topics on the web and reports only verified changes.

Watches your market and tells you only what changed. The Market Watch template agent reads public sources for the companies and topics you name, remembers what it already told you, and stays quiet when nothing moved.

Steps

  1. Start it. Open Agents, choose Templates, and select Use it on Market Watch.
  2. Answer the interview. Who is on the watchlist, which changes matter (pricing, product, hiring, funding, leadership), which sources you trust, and where the brief should land. It writes the watchlist and the rules into its instructions.
  3. See one brief. Ask: "What changed at these three in the last ten days?" Each claim links to its source and separates the date something happened from the date it was published. Tell it what is noise and what to watch closer.
  4. Keep the record. Ask it to keep a Database table of the watchlist and every reported change, so each brief builds on the last and the table viewer shows the history per company.
  5. Accept the job. After a brief you trust, it proposes a schedule, weekly or daily, delivered to your Slack DM or a Space. It starts off; turn it on from its About tab.

What waits for your approval

Posting the brief anywhere but to you, writing to a CRM, and changing a shared Database stop at an approval card. Searching, reading, and drafting the brief happen on their own.

Limits

  • It reads public web pages and news. Paywalled content, social feeds that need a login, and private communities are out of reach.
  • "Changed" means it can point to a source. It does not infer a change from silence.
  • It does not read your private context unless you connect it. Pair it with your CRM to say why a change matters to a deal.
  • Alerts arrive on the schedule you set, not the minute a page changes.

Make it yours or share it

Notes on its About tab: "pricing changes first", "ignore press releases about awards". Share it from Settings → Access so sales and product each get the brief; it runs for each member who turns it on. Put it in a Space so the history stays with the team's work. Duplicate for a second market.
