Connected accounts
Settings → Connections is where accounts are added; each stays private to who connected it.
Agents work from the accounts you connect. A connection is one account, such as your Gmail mailbox or your HubSpot, and it belongs to the person who connected it. What it imports is yours to see and yours to share.
Steps
- Open Connections. Choose Settings from the account menu, then Connections. The tabs are Connected, Sync supported, All, and one per kind: CRM, Files, Email & calendar, Meeting recording, Messaging, and Agent tools.
- Connect an account. Choose Connect on a card and sign in with the provider. Offered today: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Workspace, Google Drive, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Fathom, Slack, the Meridian recorder, and email addresses for the workspace and its agents. Outlook, Fireflies, and Gong are marked Coming soon.
- Choose what syncs. Manage on a connected card opens its settings: the import window for a mailbox, which Drive folders to sync, which calendars to prepare for. Syncing starts after you confirm. The card shows Syncing, then the sync state, or Error with Reconnect.
- Let the workspace delegate. Google Workspace lets an admin map team members' Gmail and Calendar once, so each member's account is available to them without each signing in.
- Add agent tools. Agent tools is a catalogue of connectors agents can call as actions, beyond the synced sources. Connect one and any agent allowed to discover connected apps can use it.
What waits for your approval
Connecting an account is your own sign-in with the provider. Agent actions through an account that write or send, such as updating a HubSpot deal or sending from Gmail, ask on a card. Sharing an account with a group is an explicit grant.
Limits
- A connection imports a bounded window of history. A search that finds nothing older than that window is not proof nothing older exists.
- Two colleagues who both connected Gmail each have their own copy of a shared thread. Meridian does not merge them.
- An admin can see that an account exists and manage who it is shared with, but cannot read its contents or send as its owner.
- A Team account attached to an agent lets that agent act through it; the agent still cannot reach your personal accounts.
- Disconnecting stops syncing and keeps what was imported; removing the account can clean its records up separately.
